For shipping companies and vessel masters

Lead the fleet, not the paperwork.

LeadTheFleet reads your crew's papers and your vessels' certificates, files each one in its place, and tells you what is due long before a port State officer asks for it.

  • Windows program
  • Works offline on board
  • Office and vessel copies in sync
LeadTheFleet: the certificates required of a vessel, grouped by the company index, each with its state, expiry date and window

How it works

From a scanned page to a reminder, without typing.

  1. 01

    Scan

Scan, choose a file or paste a picture. One PDF can hold every paper of a seafarer or a vessel.

  2. 02

    Read

Names, numbers and dates are read for you. What the program filled stays marked until you check it.

  3. 03

    File

Each paper goes to its seafarer or vessel, numbered by your company's index, in the right folder.

  4. 04

    Remind

Before anything expires, the master and the seafarer get a reminder by WhatsApp or email, in English or Arabic.

Vessel certificates

See the window, not just the date.

Under every expiry date, a row of dots shows the certificate's window: the months it may be renewed before the date, and the months the flag may extend it after. A ring marks today. Point at the dots for the regulation and the exact dates.

  • Renewal window
  • Expiry date
  • Extension by the flag
Five statutory certificates, each expiry date with its row of window dots

Features

Everything a crewing office and a master keep, in one program.

Crew papers

Passports, seaman books, CoCs and STCW certificates, checked against each rank and the vessel's safe manning.

Crew finance

Contracts, monthly payroll, allowances, sign-off settlements and the master's cash, approved by the office.

ISM records

The forms, checklists and records of your safety management system, filled and kept with each vessel.

Circulars and rule changes

New circulars from class, flag and port State control, summarised in English and Arabic. The certificate rules follow the changes.

Office and vessels in sync

One copy in the office and one on every vessel. Each works offline, and they sync online or by email.

A phone app for every user

Seafarers see their papers and send leave requests from home. The office reviews and approves from the phone.

Home: your work today, the most urgent first, with the counts of the fleet and what is coming up

Every morning

Your work today, the most urgent first.

Home lists what needs you now: missing papers, contracts with no wages, readings to check. Each has one button. Below it, everything that expires in the next 30 days.

The seafarer

One card for each seafarer.

Double-click a name: his details, papers, certificates required, contracts, money and history, in one window. Every change is kept with the name of the person who made it.

On the bridge

Made for the wheelhouse at night.

A night theme with dark grounds and no white glare, so the master can work on the bridge after dark without losing his night vision.

Built at sea

Made by people who run ships.

LeadTheFleet was built by a serving Master Mariner, from the daily work of keeping crews and vessels compliant. Every screen answers a question asked on board or in a crewing office, in plain words.

  • Works without internet on board
  • Speaks the language of the papers: STCW, MLC, ISM, SOLAS, the HSC Code
  • Reminders and summaries in English and Arabic

Your data stays with you.

The database and the papers live on your own computers, in the office and on board. Backups go to your own OneDrive, Google Drive or folder. The terms of use say exactly what is shared to improve the reading.

Questions

Does it need internet on board?

No. The vessel copy works offline. When there is a connection it syncs with the office online, and when there is not, by email.

Which papers does it read?

Passports, seaman books, certificates of competency, STCW certificates, medical certificates, contracts and the statutory, class and equipment certificates of the vessel.

Can several people in the office use it?

Yes. Each user signs in with his own role, and every change is kept with his name.

Which languages does it speak?

The screens are in English. Reminders to the crew, the summaries of circulars and the help are in English and Arabic.
